Usage guide for Compositing with Carbon Basic Positioning Controls Images
From left to right:
The current element type or name and location is displayed
View - used to view the composite as it will appear in normal, pan/scan, or letterboxed
display mode, or without aspect ratio resizing as it will be exported. Unlike MuxMan or
Carbon Free, GDI resizing is not used.
Magnifier - used to zoom in on the composite. The values displayed are not the magnification
factor, but step numbers. Each step has 25% greater magnification in both X and Y axis
than the previous step. Changing the magnification turns on the magnifier. The magnifier can be
turned on and off with the "Mag" button, which also appears depressed when the magnifier is on.
When turned off the view will revert to the mode prior to enabling the magnifier.
Positioner - used in magnification view when either X or Y axis exceeds the display window to allow
viewing any area of the composite. Also used to set PanScan offset when in PS view.
Show Safe - when on displays two dotted rectangles representing the title safe (inner)
and action safe (outer) areas of the composite for displays with overscan.
Time - for motion composites this selects the elapsed time into the composite to view.
Top View - allows viewing the composite as it will appear when rendered while working on an element
that is not at the top of the Z axis.
